Open up a RoadRunner Driver's Education Branch in your area!

Opening a RoadRunner Driver Education site in your city is simpler than you might expect. The basic requirements include a bachelor's degree (a New Mexico Teaching License is a plus but not mandatory) and a clean background check.

Once you meet these requirements, the next step is to reach out to us to begin the planning process. RoadRunner Driver Education will cover the application fees with both the State and the UNM Transportation Safety Center. After your approval as an instructor, we will help you find a suitable location to conduct classes in your area. While renting a dedicated office space is an option, our preference is to collaborate with the community to secure facilities. We have successfully partnered with charter schools, community colleges, non-profit organizations, and church groups, often utilizing their spaces for free, at a reduced rate, or in exchange for a modest donation. Your local connections can play a crucial role in establishing these partnerships.

RoadRunner Driver Education has already conducted classes in Albuquerque, Lovington, and Las Vegas, and we are open to expanding across the state to bring quality driver education to new communities. As an instructor, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule, following the guidelines established by the UNM TSC and NMDOT. With the potential to earn up to $6,000 per full class, this opportunity is ideal for teachers or retirees who are interested in teaching a few hours each afternoon.
